2021 Cabernet Franc

This fruit is a spectacular example of Red mountain Cabernet Franc, from the Artz Vineyard- adjacent to Kiona Estate Vineyard.  It is 100% Cabernet Franc, and was aged 28 months in French oak barrels.  We were fortunate to be able to secure a small amount to share with you, but it is in extremely limited supply, with only 24 cases available.

Green pepper and plums dominate, but raspberry and blackcurrant notes, along with nice spicy aromas are aligned with a smooth texture that makes this medium-bodied wine one to savor.

Pair this wine with lean meats with tomato or spicy sauces.  Filet Mignon with mushroom gravy, or even Tandoori Chicken. This would also go well with a nice vegetarian Ratatouille. 

Note:  I would not recommend a big grilled pepper-steak with this wine, as it could overpower the wine.
